Stair Sainty is delighted to present its second survey of oil paintings by the Cuban-born Spanish artist Federico Beltran Masses (1885–1949), Federico Beltran Masses: Under the Stars.

Renowned amongst his contemporaries as a master of colour and celebrated for his psychological portraits of seductive women. Federico Beltran Masses was a figurative painter who rose to prominence in Paris in the 1920s and 30s. A respected artist during his lifetime, Beltran Masses and his work slid into obscurity after his death. However, with three exhibitions in Spain since 2007 and one at Stair Sainty Gallery in 2012 and now in 2016, the alluring work of Beltran Masses is once again returning to the international art market.
