19 June to 26 September 2010This exhibition, held at the Art Gallery of Ontario, Canada, and organised by Guy Cogeval of the Musee d'Orsay, showcases paintings, programs and prints with sound effects and occasional performances by actors, in a theatrical setting. Viewers move from room to room, like changing scenes in a play.The periods covered include the French Revolution, French & English Romanticism, to the beginning of the 20th century; from 1789-1914. There are pieces on loan from all over the world including works from the Musée d'Orsay in Paris, the V&A and Tate in London, and various galleries and private collections in Australia, US, UK, The Netherlands and Canada.The gallery lent both The Anger of Achilles by J.-L.David, and Delaroche's Les Enfants d'Edouard (Edward V and the Duke of York in the Tower)....

June 2010The artist's oil on paper en-plein-air sketch, Landscape near Cava is one of the paintings recently added to the collection of the Toledo Museum of Art. Two other oil on paper works by Michallon, also in the Louvre catalogue raisonne of the artist, may be seen with us in London during Master Paintings Week....

March 2010We are pleased to be exhibiting at The European Fine Art Fair 2010, Maastricht, and welcome you to the gallery's stand, no. 372. May 2009The National Gallery has purchased from the gallery Les Calanques, a 1936 pastel by Lucien Lévy-Dhurmer, for its collection. The pastel is one of four views in a series, each done at a six-hour interval over the course of a night; another is in the Musee d'Orsay, Paris. Last year Stair Sainty sold Lévy-Dhurmer's pastel The Dolomites to the Denver Art Museum, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, placed The Wisteria Room, an interior designed and painted by the artist, on exhibition in their 19th Century Galleries....
